I am looking for a committed volunteer to work with me on creating resource referral handouts to give to clients. We have a template that you can use. With my guidance and help, you will be responsible for putting together a list of resources, such as food pantries, in the area and helping me reach out to them to gauge their interest/ability to be included on our referral list (based on interpreter availability, capacity, etc.).

CLIENT DETAILS: Adult client (7 months pregnant) Traveling with her 2-year-old son. PURPOSE OF TRIP: Complete passport application process for both the client and her child. DESTINATION: Consulate of Guatemala in Columbus (2105 S Hamilton Rd #100, Columbus, OH 43232.) PICKUP & DROP-OFF LOCATIONS: Aliquippa, Pennsylvania VOLUNTEER TRANSPORTATION DUTIES: * Pick up the client and her child from their residence in Aliquippa: * Drive them safely to the consulate in Columbus (round-trip ) * Travel only with the client and her child (no additional passengers) * Remain on-site during the appointment * Drive them back home after the process is completed TIME COMMITMENT: Be prepared for a full-day commitment, including: Travel time (approximately 3 hours each way) and Waiting time at the consulate while documents are processed.

We are looking for volunteers to help us do non-partisan phone banking for the primary election on May 19th. We will provide all of materials you will need. This opportunity can be completed either virtually or in person. If you attend one of our in person sessions, we will also provide snacks and beverages to fuel you!

This person would assist the emergency food assistance coordinator with tasks such as: packing and carrying heavy bags of groceries, transporting groceries from our community partners to the packing site, taking inventory, and other tasks. Must have a valid driver's license, bonus if the volunteer owns a pickup truck or SUV that can be used.

Join our Rapid Response network and help us DEFEND OUR COMMUNITY! Our rapid response network is made up of students, activists and neighbors who respond to and monitor ICE activity in our community. To join the squad, you must undergo a 2 hour training session, following which you will be sorted into on-call teams. Each team is on call once every 6 weeks, but the time commitment is flexible - we understand you have lives. The only expectation is you are extra attentive when on-call and will mobilize when you’re available. Additionally, you will be expected to attend team meetings and further trainings on a non-regular basis. If you’re able, now is the time to step up and stand in solidarity with Casa San Jose and your immigrant neighbors.

We are looking for committed volunteers to join Los Ángeles, a community safety team with Casa San José. Los Ángeles monitor churches and other religious spaces, cultural events, and social gatherings where the Latino community comes together. Their role is to help ensure that these spaces remain safe, calm, and welcoming. Role description (What you would do): As an Angel, you will: Be a visible, calm, and preventive presence in and around churches and community events. Monitor the surroundings to identify unusual activity or anything that could put the community at risk. Report concerns quickly and clearly through our internal communication channels (Signal and our emergency line). Help protect the space so that families can pray, celebrate, and meet without fear. Expectations: Follow all non-confrontation and safety protocols (you observe and report, you do not intervene). Be available for short volunteer shifts (often 1 hour) mainly on weekends or during special events. Always wear your Casa San José lanyard while volunteering. Act with professionalism, discretion, and respect toward everyone present. By joining Los Ángeles, you are helping protect the dignity and safety of the Latino community in places that are important to them—churches, cultural spaces, and community events.

Join us for a one‑day, hands‑on volunteer event supporting Latino students as they prepare for the new school year. Volunteers will help assemble backpacks with essential school supplies, organize materials for distribution, take inventory, and ensure everything is ready for students to receive. This may include some lifting and climbing stairs.

Assist monolingual Spanish speaking clients at Grandview Church of God Foodbank to register, communicate with Foodbank personnel and/or deliver food to home residence
